Some old EMRA footage...

Well, it's been a while, but I've just started trying to sort out the backlog of film footage that I have. And because the start of the new season is nearing, and that I'm getting excited, I decided to finish off the film of last years EMRA Rd 4 event. It was great looking back at all the action, in particularly the last race when Leon battled hard with Jody Lees. It was definitely the highlight of the day.

Here's the film...I hope you enjoy it:

Personality of the year!

Last night was a good night. A very good night indeed! Leon won the 'Senior Sports Personality of the Year Award' at the 'Nuneaton & Bedworth Sports Forum Awards'. Not only is this an incredible achievement for Leon, but also one for motorcycle sport, as he's the first motorcyclist to receive an award from the Forum. A massive achievement indeed! The awards date back to 1975, so it's great to see Leon contributing his piece of history. Well done Leon...

January PR update...

Thanks to Jane Bird, media coverage about Leon has been busy throughout January. 'Nuneaton News' have run a story announcing new sponsor 'Arbury Gates and Railings', as did the the 'Coventry Telegraph' who also mentioned the new deal that has been agreed with 'Moto World UK'. The 'Coventry Telegraph' also ran an article about Leon being nominated for the '2009 Nuneaton and Bedworth Sports Forum Senior Sports Personality Award'. This is an incredible achievement for Leon, and highlights how people are starting to notice how much Leon has achieved in his racing career so far. The winners will be announced on Tuesday 2nd February at the ceremony at Nuneaton Town Hall...well done Leon, and good luck for Tuesday...

Happy New Year!

Well today sees the beginning of 2010, and it started with a rather splendid write-up in the 'Shropshire Star'. Jane Bird has been working her magic again and managed to get more than half a page in the middle of the motoring section. Well done Jane, it's a great beginning to what will hopefully be a great year...

(Nice!)

Christmas go-karting...

It's been a while since I've updated the blog, I guess things get busy over the Christmas period. Anyway, last week Leon and myself waved the BMC flag in a go-karting race in Birmingham. And guess what...WE WON! It was a very eventful race though (an hour long endurance) where black flags, crashes and a brief stoppage played their part in the final result. We qualified second on the grid, which included eleven teams of two drivers each. Leon even managed to get the second fastest lap of the race, and there were some very fine drivers indeed. It was a great way to spend an afternoon during the holidays, and a big thanks goes out to Jody Lees for arranging it all. Expect to see Leon and myself teaming up again soon...

Here's the first lap, I'm the driver in second place:

And here's the gold medal that we won:

The Beautiful Game...

Talk about keeping it in the family! Rikkie Jeacock, Leon's younger brother, can be seen on the football pitch sporting the familiar number 55. Rikkie currently holds a place in the Nuneaton Town Community FC reserves team, and is aiming for a first team place in the not too distant future. Well done Rikkie, and good luck from everyone at BMC Racing...

(Guess which one is Rikkie!)
