EMRA presentation night...

Last weekend we were all out in force at the end of year EMRA dinner, dance and trophy giving ceremony. And this year we were again privileged to have Cal Crutchlow, World Supersport Champion, and John Reynolds, three times British Superbike Champion, handing out the prizes. It was a fantastic evening for the BMC Racing/Jeacock gang. Not only did we seem to have the largest turn out, we also seemed to pick up more awards than any other team. Between them, Mike and Leon picked up a whopping thirteen trophies! Here's a list of what they picked up...

Leon :
Formula 600 Championship Winner (2 trophies)
Superstock 600 Championship Winner (2 trophies)
Co-Ordit Relay Championship Winner (2 trophies)
Tony Bouncer Trophy Winner (2 trophies)
Buildbase Mallory Trophy 3rd position (1 trophy)

Mike:
Formula 400 Championship Winner (2 trophies)
Paul Vincent Trophy Winner (2 trophies)

Now that's a lot of metal! Except for the 'Tony Bouncer Trophy', which is made out of glass and has a value somewhere in the region of £3000...so Leon gave it back after having his photo taken with it. Very wise move Leon!

(Nice Work lads!)

Latest BSN report...

Here's a link to the latest BSN report on Leon's recent outing at Mallory Park. And it's a good one! Shame there's not a pic of him on the new R6 though, but I'm sure there will be plenty in good time: http://www.bikesportnews.com/articles/article.html?id=JEACOCK_ENDS_CLUB_SEASON_ON_A_HIGH_1

New career moves?

There seems to be hidden talents among us BMC Racing folk. Becoming Chippendales isn't the most obvious of them though! But check this link out for proof that Mike, Leon, Freddy, Simon and myself have what you need to strip off and take to the stage: http://sendables.jibjab.com/view/T6JQ6C9vZBMN7cii

(Thank you Leon for making the video.)

(What a fine looking bunch we are!)

BMC Trainers...

To celebrate the end of a very successful season I decided to treat myself to some new trainers. Sounds weird I know, but these are no ordinary trainers. These are NIKEiD trainers that I designed in the colours of my very own RVF Honda. I think they're ace, and will be wearing them a lot over the coming weeks...

Create your own on the Nike website: http://store.nike.com/index.jsp?cp=EUNS_KW_NS09_UK_Google_B_LP_Test_Homepage_Exact&country=GB&lang_locale=en_GB#l=shop,nikeid

(They fit like a glove, I mean trainer.)

(And I've even got my race number on them!)

Leon at Mallory with 'New Era'...

This weekend Leon was out on his new Superstock R6 with the 'New Era' club at Mallory Park. It was a good opportunity to test the bike out and get a feel for the set-up. And he went very well! A first and a second in class saw his maiden voyage on the new bike as a success. It means he can take his learning's of the new machine in to the winter break and work towards the new racing season in 2010...

Here's a press release which explains what happened on the day:

And here are a couple of pics:
