It's Saturday morning, and I'm sitting at home drinking a cup of tea reading last weeks BSN. And I notice the EMRA Round 3 preview in the 'What's on where?' section. Leon gets a good mention throughout. This is what is written:
'The Buildbase Mallory Trophy is the main attraction at the EMRA Championship meetings, and it certainly lived-up to its billing at the April meeting, when Mark Littler had a tremendous battle with Leon Jeacock and Angelo de Rosa (not the commonest of Welsh names).
Jeacock took his 600cc BMC Yamaha to the front on lap one, but Littler (Laser/Marfab Kawasaki) took over on lap two and stayed there for seven laps, but he was unable to break away, while de Rosa reeled both of them in.
Jeacock snatched the lead again on lap nine, but on the last lap sort-out at Shaw's Hairpin, it was Littler who came out ahead to take the win by 0.6 of a second from Jeacock, who in turn, was just 0.3 of a second in front of de Rosa.
Jeacock had already won the qualifier from Littler, and the points table shows Littler ten ahead of Jeacock, with Paul Curran third from Pete Bradshaw...'
'...Leon Jeacock was in top form in the Superstock races, winning both fairly comfortable, while in the Formula 600 class he had rather more of a challenge from novice rider Jody Lees.
Lees is now up to third, just a point behind Tomes, but there is a lot of catching-up to do to make up the 30 points deficit to Jeacock'
Excellent! See you all tomorrow.
